ESA’s senior scientific advisor Mark McCaughrean has revealed that ESA plans to further collaboration with Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in space missions. He alos mentioned that ESA is planning 15 space missions including Bepe Colombo to mercury in 2018 and JUICE to Jupiter in 2022.
ESA has earlier collaborated with ISRO on Chandrayaan-1 mission to the moon. In fact, ESA has had collaborative efforts with 22 countries including US, Russia, China, India and Japan. It is also expected to increase with the commercial launches.
McCaughrean also mentioned that it could be in 10 to 20 years that it is possible for a human space flight to Mars.
