The result, which sparked delirious celebrations at Barcelona’s 99,000 capacity Nou Camp Stadium, sent the Spanish Giants storming into the quarter-finals at the cost of the stricken Paris club.
The first three goals came by Luis Suarez, Layvin Kurzawa own goal and Lionel Messi penalty goal. However, the Barcelona team was in a tight spot when Edinson Cavani volleyed a vital away goal for PSG.
Losing the first game 4-0, Barcelona needed at least one more goal to advance. With a score of 3-1 till about the last minute, Barcelona had no chance of making it to the quater-finals (aggregate was still 5-3). However, miracles can happen.
Barcelona star, Neymar, converted a free-kick to a goal at the 88th minute! Not only that, he shot an amazing penalty at the 91st minute, making the aggregate score 5-5. It wasn’t over for Barcelona yet. Substitute midfielder Roberto turned Neymar’s chip over the defence to score another goal at the fifth minute of extra time.
