With the Sunday’s final match, Roger Federer has joined Novak Djokovic as the only man to win five Indian Wells titles. Earlier Federer has won the title in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2012.
Federer beat Warwinka with a 6-4, 7-5 victory. Hats off to both the players for showing us another jaw-dropping game. (Federer (35) is the oldest ATP player to win one of the elite Master titles, beating Andre Agassi who was 34 when he won in Cincinnate in 2004)
Roger Federer has missed the championship last year due to a kneww injury, and now he was filled with a sense of satisfaction. He said I couldn’t be more happy. It’s an absolute, huge start to the year for me. Last year I didn’t win any titles. I don’t think I was in any finals except maybe Brisbane last year. The change is dramatic, and it feels great.
