In a Congress controlled by his own party, Trump faced the first major setback on Friday. Republican leaders pulled legislation to overhaul the US healthcare system. I am sure he understands now that this is not a Business organization but a major political party that supports the country.
Even the desperate lobbying by the White House and the Speaker Paul Ryan, the Healthcare bill was unable to garner the 216 votes it needed to pass. Trump stated ‘We learned a lot about loyalty. We learned a lot about the vote-getting process‘, however he was still trying to shift the blame on the Democrats.
No one really shows any signs of tackling the Obamacare health plan anytime soon, and Trump said that he would turn his attention to getting ‘big tax cuts‘ through Congress.
I really wish that Trump tries a little harder.
