Delhi Police officials on Wednesday night served summons to AIADMK deputy general security TTV Dhinakaran in a case of alleged bribery of Election Commission (EC) officials for retrieving the party’s Two Leaves’ symbol.
The Delhi Police personnel were inside Dhinakaran’s house for 20 minutes, but declined to comment anything related to the matter to the media outside.
A party worker even tried to set himself ablaze to show his opposition to the police, however it was stopped by other people.
Earlier, the Crime Branch had arrested an alleged middleman, Sukesh Chandrashekhar here in connection with the matter. It was learned that he had made a Rs 50 crore deal to help AIADMK faction keep the ‘two leaves’ symbol.
