US names global terrorists

The US state department officially named three individuals from different countries as global terrorists, adding them to the US terrorist sanctions list. Mohammad Shafi Armar, Ousamma Ahmad Atar and Mohammed Isa Yousif Saqar Al Binali were named as Specially Designated Global Terrorists.

Armar is a native of Karnataka, India and is the terrorist organization’s chief recruiter in India. He has been blamed for cultivating dozens of IS supporters involved in building the group’s operations in the country.

Atar is a Belgian-Moroccan national and is the one for establishing IS network in Europe, responsible for the November 2015 Paris attacks and is also connected to the March 2016 Brussels attack.

The third person, Binali, is a Bahraini who is known for recruiting Bahrainis to the group and appears in IS promotional videos.

Man arrested in Brussels for driving into crowd, No victims fortunately

Just a day after the London attack, and a day after the anniversary of Brussels airport attack, a man named Mohamed R. was arrested by the security forces in Brussels for high speed driving a burgundy-colored car into a shopping area in the port city of Antwerp. Pedestrians jumped aside and were fortunately not injured.

Not only that, but security forces also found a rifle and bladed weapons in the car of the suspect, who tried to flee but was detained. It was concluded that the man was under the influence of something, possibly drugs, but authorities weren’t able to figure out the exact cause at the moment.

According to the information provided, the man was a French national, who was born in Tunisia and later moved to the city of Lens near the Belgium border. The man has only been charged for minor offenses before such as drunk driving and drug use. He is supposed to be at the age of 39 and height of 1.85 meters.

Belgium Train Derailment

A train carrying 85 passengers derailed a few minutes after leaving the Louvain train station (East of Brussels). The cause of derailment – which occurred shortly after 1:00 pm – was not immediately known and investigators were on the scene.

One of the yellow and white carriage of the train was flipped on its side, causing a decent amount of infrastructure loss due to track and cable damage.

Fortunately, no other trains were using the track along that route during the time and hence any collision was avoided.
