Haphazard Life

In this haphazard life, we lost,
We lost the way that we once saw;
Why was everything clear earlier,
Who made us forget what once was raw.

We leaned on each other,
Without much battling an eye;
But have our egos grown this much,
That truth is less spoken than a lie.

Where then, did we lose our way,
Going through this haphazard life;
The way leading to riches and fame,
Moving forward without pointing a knife.

Have you ever seen?

Have you seen a person who is saved,
Rescued and given a chance to live;
Look at the expression in their eyes,
That’s one time that humans don’t lie.

Have you seen a person who is in love,
Pursuing the other without a question;
They seem to be blinded by the light,
Yet for them, it’s the best moments in life.

Have you seen a person who like a mother,
She carries you through all nine months;
And when she glances a look at your face,
All she can feel is peace, pride and care

Have you seen a person who cleans everyday,
They clean and work without recognition;
Doing one of important jobs of society,
Just to keep hygiene, making people thrive.

Have you ever seen those people,
Ones mentioned above and many more;
These who spread peace and happiness,
Just for us to live and enjoy to the core.

The Path none crossed

You are here, and yet you stopped,
Because the path ahead, appears blocked;
Then searching for the right path around,
Appears a small one that none crossed.

You question the long road ahead,
So you search for much better options;
And yet in the end, the best one is,
The same path that no one crossed.

You take a step ahead, and turn around,
Afraid, excited, maintaining the poise;
The question again runs through your mind,
“Is this the best, safest and soundest of all?”

You hesitate a little, as it gets lonely,
Reaching halfway, you can’t see people;
Questioning your existence, and this life,
And closing your eyes as you step ahead.

You move forward, and then you realize,
This was the path you should pursue;
It is right, and yet no one crossed,
Because it belonged to you, and you alone.
