After confirming three android powered handsets at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), Nokia’s parent company HMD Global is looking to return the Nokia brand to the US. It’s a pretty neat move, just when Apple handsets are sighted as being not much different from it’s predecessors, and Samsung hitting frequent roadblocks due to its ‘unfinished’ technology, Nokia is looking to grab a bite of the smartphone market.
Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 will be released in the US, as they replied to a tweet that was asking if the smartphone are going to be released in the US, “We’re planning on a global release so yes they will be.”
It is suspected that a ‘direct to customer’ approach with SIM-free handsets on sale direct from HMD’s website will be the preferred option.
