Nokia Smartphones to be released in America

After confirming three android powered handsets at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), Nokia’s parent company HMD Global is looking to return the Nokia brand to the US. It’s a pretty neat move, just when Apple handsets are sighted as being not much different from it’s predecessors, and Samsung hitting frequent roadblocks due to its ‘unfinished’ technology, Nokia is looking to grab a bite of the smartphone market.

Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 will be released in the US, as they replied to a tweet that was asking if the smartphone are going to be released in the US, “We’re planning on a global release so yes they will be.”

It is suspected that a ‘direct to customer’ approach with SIM-free handsets on sale direct from HMD’s website will be the preferred option.

Yes, you might have heard the word Nokia. It was a mobile brand that was amazing in early ages but failed to keep-on with the advancing technological world.

And now there is mainly Apple and Samsung that are dominating in this field. (I have an iPhone 7+ as well). But as you recently heard that HMD Global bought the Nokia name, and is eager to release new products under the name.

The first Nokia-branded android phones will be releasing at MWC (Mobile World Congress) on Sunday. Nokia even confirmed that it will be live-streaming the launch event on Sunday through the official Facebook and Youtube account of the Nokia Mobile at 9pm IST.

HMD Global is expected to bring back the refresh of Nokia 3310 feature phone and will also be releasing other devices like Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6.
