The Night.

This night, it’s just beautiful,
Filled with all the silence;
You hear the sound of heartbeat,
Or the rattle of your soul’s fence.

You pour out your thoughts,
Examine your days content;
What was right or what went wrong,
Pushing hard to earn each cent.

And then nights are full of emotions,
A moment to talk to someone you like;
Because at this time all you hear,
Is the genuine words, not a disguise.

Often, people stay up to wish others,
Whether it’s a birthday or anniversary;
Or even the beginning of a new year,
Or ‘Incidents’ when people end up married.

Some use the night to study, or work,
These are the ones that try harder;
The ones who want to change the world,
And dream about that successful startup.

While there are some who just sleep,
Exhausted from their day’s chores;
They look for the opportunity to lay in bed,
And forget the
numerous daytime lores.

But night is young as well,
For people who want it to be;
Or they binge watch that series,
Netflix and chill is better for me.

Yet, night is full of darkness,
Often portrayed by scaring scenes;
Because anything can happen then,
Incidents caused when you are too keen.

This, and so much more is the night,
Coming and going every single day;
So which night was it for you yesterday?
And which one are you wishing for today?

Change

Everyone I see has a story,
Whether big ones or small;
Some are lost in the way of life,
And some enjoy with us all.

So I met a person, who is the latter,
While I live being the former;
A person who enjoys helping,
And one who speaks up for the right.

I would rather stay away from this,
People are an annoyance, fake shine;
But when you look at this person,
You can’t stop changing this time.

Someone who gives, and donates,
Tries his best to work all year round;
Yet more interested he is to share,
All the rewards with people around.

I wonder if that’s how it is,
Is it something I can easily do;
Because the smiles and wishes,
Always multiplies happiness by two.

Thinking this, and much more,
A little lost though with a goal;
I go around all the time, and,
Write the perfect poem for my soul.

Thoughts.

Whether it’s our parents, or the friends,
We hardly show gratitude for what they do;
And yet everytime a stranger helps us,
We smile at them and say ‘Thank you’?

Perhaps even I am such a person,
And maybe, even you are too;
What we could do is support each other,
Living alone can only be done by few.

Then again, stranger things have happened,
At times like these, even more so;
When people are isolated even from family,
Or they hide away, seeing others as a foe?

Indeed, it is a tolerant world out there,
Running around, trying harder for money;
Which is good, everyone has preferences,
But who do you live for, this or your honey?

We fear the stumbling of economy,
Rather than the number of people lost;
What exactly are we going to achieve,
If the person whom we started for, goes.

Haphazard Life

In this haphazard life, we lost,
We lost the way that we once saw;
Why was everything clear earlier,
Who made us forget what once was raw.

We leaned on each other,
Without much battling an eye;
But have our egos grown this much,
That truth is less spoken than a lie.

Where then, did we lose our way,
Going through this haphazard life;
The way leading to riches and fame,
Moving forward without pointing a knife.

Doctors.

It’s a long fight, this virus,
Attacking regardless of race;
Doctors swarming around,
Saving some, keeping the pace.

So let’s put their hearts at ease,
Cheering them on each success;
There might be failures of course,
Doesn’t mean they put efforts less.

Clapping in the background,
And sharing respectful videos;
Are good and appreciative,
But the priority is no-shows.

Don’t show up for that concert,
Or that much needed shopping;
Just stay safe at your home,
No need to go to that bar hopping.

Let’s fight this together,
And win this battle of life;
For its better to see the sun late,
Than to never wake up or rise.

Call your loved ones, text them,
Don’t go holding because of the ego;
We are together in these times,
No need to hurt and make a foe.

Close your eyes, get some rest,
Or watch that unseen movie;
But always keep doctors in heart,
They are humans too, with a bovie.

Forever.

I remember when you were here,
Never taking my eyes off you;
The striking appearance of that smile,
Made me love every subtle wrinkle.

I remember when you were here,
Both of us would manage the chores;
Some of the food that you made,
So bad, yet I miss it now even more.

I remember when you were here,
Talking about the future and life;
How to get a better house and car,
But most importantly a happy family.

I remember when you went away,
It was just a phone call on the cell;
The crisis of the year, the headlines,
A flight whose engine burst, fell.

I remember when you went away,
Gone were those happy memories;
The precious little lies and secrets,
The sweet memories and cries.

I remember when you went away,
Looking up at the sky at night;
Trying to find the unknown star,
All blurred with the tears in my eye.

I remember now, me and you, all of it,
The reason that we are now apart;
For there must be still meaning to life,
And fulfill all your wishes, before I depart.

I remember, that’s all I can say,
You won’t ever be alone from now;
Let me be here a little longer, love,
Pursue the dreams for which we vowed.

Have you ever seen?

Have you seen a person who is saved,
Rescued and given a chance to live;
Look at the expression in their eyes,
That’s one time that humans don’t lie.

Have you seen a person who is in love,
Pursuing the other without a question;
They seem to be blinded by the light,
Yet for them, it’s the best moments in life.

Have you seen a person who like a mother,
She carries you through all nine months;
And when she glances a look at your face,
All she can feel is peace, pride and care

Have you seen a person who cleans everyday,
They clean and work without recognition;
Doing one of important jobs of society,
Just to keep hygiene, making people thrive.

Have you ever seen those people,
Ones mentioned above and many more;
These who spread peace and happiness,
Just for us to live and enjoy to the core.
