The world leaders need to understand this, war isn't the solution. The verbal dialogues/tweets between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim are only escalating the tension between the two countries. You need to think about the people of your country, how much can a war change everyone!
Also, most of the countries in the world have tensions along their border but no one dares to start any conflicts. If any one country goes to war, no one knows what will be the consequences. After all, you need only one candle to light many firecrackers.
Hence, I am sure that if you are a leader, you will have enough intelligence and understanding on how to be better at communication & negotiations. Please use that knowledge.
Pentagon to set Afghanistan troop levels

Pentagon was granted authority by President Trump to set troop levels in Afghanistan. Pentagon chief Jim Mattis will now be directly able to adjust troop numbers. This is similar to what was done with Iraq and Syria when White House had given the Secretary of defense the authority to set troop levels.
Commanders often complained under Barack Obama, due to his firm stance on setting and monitoring troop levels by himself, which is the reason Mr. Mattis acknowledges for US still not winning in Afghanistan.
Mr. Mattis said that the new plans on Afghanistan strategy won’t be ready until mid-July, and will probably lead to the deployment of additional troops both from US and NATO. The Don’t lose strategy won’t be good enough to win this war.
On Saturday, the Taliban claimed responsibility for an insider attack in which an Afghan commando turned his weapon on American troops, killing three and wounding another.
That is a nice decision, however as a President, even though you are not the decision make for troops, you need to know the basic stats and numbers since it’s your own country people that are putting their life on the line. I wish Trump does not forget that.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be meeting President Trump and discuss on ways to expand the US-India partnership. The meet will happen on June 26 and the discussion will also include topics such as terrorism, possible changes in H-1B visa and ways to enhance business cooperation. According to the White House spokesman Sean Spicer, Trump and Prime Minister Modi have already had a number of positive phone calls.
The talks will discuss US-India trade plans, which has already skyrocketed from $19 billion in 2000 to $115 in 2016, a six-fold increase. US energy and technologies, that have been helping develop India further, will also be a party of the discussion.
However, regardless of US presence in the Paris Climate Deal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to the French President Macron that India will go above and beyond for the Paris deal.
So, Trump will be meeting Narendra Modi. I can’t really tell how the meeting will go. Both the leaders are trying to promote their own country first, and their own domestic manufacturing. Both stand on the opposite sides regarding Climate Change and even the H1-B visa.

NASA will send an ice box (called Cold Atom Laoratory or CAL) to the International Space Station (ISS) in August abroad the SpaceX CRS-12. The box is supposed to freeze gas atoms to create the coolest spot in the universe, which in turn might help to understand more about gravity and dark matter.
The box has lasers, a vacuum chamber and an electromagnetic ‘knife’. These will all be used to cancel out the energy of gas particles and slow them down until eventually they are motionless.
When atoms are cooled to extreme temperatures, as they will be inside of CAL they can form a distinct state of matter known as a Bose-Einstein condensate. In this state, familiar rules of physics recede and quantum physics begins to take over. Matter can be observed behaving less like particles and more like waves.

Under a proposal being considered by the Department of Homeland Security, women and children entering USA illegally could be separated. The parents will be kept in custoday while they contest deportation or wait for asylum hearings. Whereas the children will be put under protective custody with the Department of Health and Human Services in the least restrictive setting.
Such measure might deter mothers from migrating to the USA with their children. Currently, families contesting deportation or applying for asylum are generally released from detention quickly and allowed to remain in the USA because federal appeals court ruling bars prolonged child detention. This will also help in the safety of children, who, often, are exploited, abused or killed by parents, relatives or smugglers.
About 54,000 children and their guardians were apprehended between Oct 1st, 2016 and Jan 31st, 2017, more than double the number caught over the same time period a year earlier.
Republicans in Congress argued that women are willing to risk the dangerous journey with their children because they are assured they will be quickly released from detention and given court dates set years into the future.

The decision of South Korea’s Lotte Group approval to a land swap with the government isn’t considered to be a good decision by the Chinese state media. This land swap will enable authorities to deploy a US missile defense system.
The government decided last year to deploy the US Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, in response to the North Korean missile threat, on land that is part of a golf course owned by Lotte in the Seongju region, southeast of Seoul. The deal was approved with the government on Monday.
A South Korean military official told Reuters the military would begin installing fences and soldiers would patrol the area.
China objects to this deployment in South Korea because THAAD has a powerful radar capable of penetrating Chinese territory, and it is a threat to its security and will do nothing to ease tension with North Korea.
A robotic spacecraft to Sun next year!?

NASA, the American space agency, is planning to send its first robotic spacecraft to the Sun next year. The spacecraft us supposed to get within six million kilometers of the sun to probe its atmosphere. (The distance between the Sun and the Earth is 149 million kilometers)
The mission is supposed to answer three major questions that still baffle the scientists:
- Why is the surface of the Sun (Photosphere) not as hot as its atmosphere. (The temperature of the Photosphere is a mere 5,550 degree Celsius, however, the temperature of the Atmosphere is 2 million degree Celsius!)
- How do the Solar wind gets its speed. (The Sun blows charged particles in all directions at a million miles an hour, but somehow the particles get accelerated)
- Why Sun emits dangerous high-energy particles that are a danger to unprotected astronauts and spacecraft.

Trump tweeted on February 26th at 3:23 AM that he will not be attending the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) Dinner this year. However shortly after Trump’s tweet, the president of the WHCA said in an email that the dinner would take place even without Trump’s attendance as has been the tradition since the beginning.
The dinner that is scheduled for April 29 will highlight some of the best political journalism of the past year and will also recognize the promising students who represent the next generation. The WHCA also awards $100,000 in scholarships at its annual dinner according to it’s website, and recently started a mentoring program that pairs working journalists with journalism students.
This is not the first time a President won’t be able to attend the WHCA dinner. In 1978, Jimmy Carter declined to attend, citing exhaustion. First lady Rosalynn Carter and Vice President Walter Mondale also didn’t show up that year. In 1981, President Ronald Reagan managed to deliver remarks by phone even though he was at Camp David recovering from an assassination attempt.
In 2011, President Barack Obama roasted Trump at the dinner – five minutes of jokes directed at the man who had raised questions about whether Obama was born in the US. Obama ended the roast by flashing a picture of the then-hypothetical Trump White House, emblazoned with pink neon and gold columns, with bikini-clad women relaxing in the fountain outside. (And now Trump is President, I wonder if this can be one of his motivations)
